Air Data Computer (ADC)

The Air Data Computer (ADC) provides a variety of information to the flight management computer. Informationor data is usually transmitted to the FMS via a digital data bus. Below are some common varieties of information transmitted from ADC's.

True Air Speed (TAS) - Airspeed corrected for temperature, density and pressure.

Baro Altitude - altitude corrected for barometric pressure.

Pressure Altitude - Altitude as calculated by standard atmospheric conditions.

Indicated Airspeed (IAS) - Airspeed as indicated displayed as knots.

MACH - Airspeed as related to the speed of sound.

Static Air Temperature - Ambient air temperature
